The First Street streetscape project is the keystone capital improvement project for the Livermore Downtown Specific Plan.

As architect of record, KDA provided drawings for all of the architectural elements including a series of trellises and kiosks along a five-block stretch and a large central plaza with a cast stone fountain and grand semi-circular trellis.

The design draws on elements of Livermore's wine culture and integrates them into the streetscape to transform an old state highway into a pedestrian-oriented street with outdoor eating areas, increased amenities and a prominent plaza at its historic crossroads.
