Tiffany Rose Leichter

Tiffany was drawn to architecture through her desire to create beautiful things that enrich everyday life. Her early passion for designing and making clothing, bedding and handbags naturally led, in her college years, to study in design and the built environment.

Combining this practical schooling (Bachelor of Architecture, Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, 1998) with her passion for making things, Tiffany has focused on the balance between the technical and aesthetic. "For me, the key to creating outstanding design is to be able to see the big picture and the small details at the same time. If you can do both, the building is going to meet the needs of its users and respond well to its context."

While involved in all aspects of project planning and execution, Tiffany most appreciates collaborating with clients to interpret and realize their goals. Over the years she has developed many tools to help clients articulate their aesthetic and functional needs, while at the same time gently introducing them to new materials, approaches and technologies.

In 2001 Tiffany joined KDA, and became an associate in the firm in 2005. She heads the interiors division of the firm, teaches in the Interior Design program at UC Berkeley Extension and is a Certified Green Building Professional.
